I don't know if any of you have been paying attention/have heard about the walk-outs, but here are a few snippets from the Dallas newspaper:

I'm somewhat torn on the issue. Illegal immigrants came here to work and to find the American dream. They work jobs that most people rather not touch or even too lazy to do. But, it's not to say they work honorably. Granted, most people don't anyhow with a jobs like that ( ... )

same thing in houston too.

i'm leaning towards against the protestors. in my opinion, most of the ideals that they are standing for are either very selfish or unlawful. what it boils down to is the protestors are FOR breaking the laws of this country. i have thought this out thorougly and everytime i think about it, i think i just get a little more unhappy of the protesting.

all i have really have to say for now is that the protestors are wanting to gain citizenship into this country. however, why is it that a mexican flag is being waved as opposed to an american flag?

my thoughts exactly...you want equality/citizenship/free healthcare/free everything, yet you throw your damn Mexican flag in everyone's faces?!?
