The Golden Quill Awards: The Countdown Begins

Ladies and gentlemen, the Golden Quill Awards is due to launch on Monday.

The nominees icons have been made, the website has been revamped with a new title bar and icon, and Middle-earth News has been informed. Nominations run from 1st March till the end of May. During June I'll collate the entries and make sure they're eligible, then I'll set up ( Read more... )

My time zone's a little different to most people's in that I'm a day ahead. Monday is tomorrow for me -- does that mean I can start nominating then, or do I have to wait until Tuesday when it's Monday for everyone else?

I'm not all that fussed, to be honest, dear. I do need as many nominations as possible and would be very pleased if you could spread the word for me. It'd be wonderful to get a load of non-Tolkien fandoms in there because they totally dominated it last year. Now the Tolkien legendarium is my default fandom, but I'd love to see more fandoms being represented. Have fun!

Groovy! The polls are up for this month's writing challenge, BTW. Details are on my latest post. I've done it that way to give people with no ff.net account a chance to vote: you don't need an account to vote there. Besides, I'll be using it for the Golden Quill Awards.
