Yes, yes, I KNOW it's been over a month since I last updated. But look, first there was this hearing that took three weeks (and in which I kicked butt,by the way), and then our house was like a plague ship, in which everyone, including the babysitter, kept getting sick, passing it around, getting better, catching it from someone else, and so on ( Read more... )

It was surprisingly fun for someone who never wanted to litigate. After our witness got off the stand, I renewed a motion for summary disposition we had argued and lost a month before and lost again. So Kirk and I went back to the office, only to be summoned back by the Judge's clerk after lunch, so the Judge could reverse herself. But we didn't know that, so we were freaking out, thinking we'd done something wrong and were going to get yelled at. Then, after excusing the bad guys' witness from the stand so he could go catch his plane on a Friday afternoon, while the bad guys were packing up to leave, she reversed the ruling! Such a good way to end a week.
