On a happier note than my last post. In a nearby tree there is a Redheaded Woodpecker nest. I took these pics from my kitchen window while I was playing with my zoom. Wished I had grabbed my tripod but oh well, I had fun taking the pics and watching the woodpecker chick. Right now the nest is empty. Chicks grow up fast!

Nope I am not a member of the Audubon Society. But I do love bird watching. We have a pretty good variety right in our own backyard - Cardinals, Robins, Brown Thrasher, Wrens, Crows, Doves, Redheaded Woodpecker, Sparrows, Red Tail Hawks, Starlings (yuck) and occasionally Goldfinches. Usually we have big Blue Jays but I haven't seen any for a while.

I'd love to be a bird for a few hours. Flying looks fun! My reincarnate choice is Bottle Nose Dolphin or a cat owned by my sister-in-law : )
