That is so cool, Wendy! Were you up close or did you have a telephoto lens?

Used a zoom feature on my digital. Didn't know it would zoom that much.

Stacy, you actually inspired me to take these pics. You always see so interesting things and capture them!

Well, why don't you just say the most flattering thing you could possibly say, Wendy?! tee heeee!

I love your pics!

You do need to go back and fix your code on some of them though, because they're not showing up.

Well Stacy, I am just telling the truth : )

I don't know why some of my pics didn't post right. Computer and/or LJ was acting a little weird when I was trying to do it. What worked one time, didn't the next. I just reposted the pics instead of trying to fix them.

Awwww...he's such a cute little birdy, peeking out of his hole. Is that a baby woodpecker? He looks so fluffy ...

Yes, this little cutie is a Redheaded Woodpecker chick. I wouldn't have known that except for his nest and seeing his parents feed him. The parents have a bright red patch on the top of their heads.

The nest is just outside my kitchen window. I hope the parents will raise another family. If I get another chance to take pics of chicks, I am going to use my tripod!

Have a good day Lisa! Go hug a tree!

Too late. The picture was taken last week and the chick has flown the nest.

I really need to find the manual for my camera, buy a new manual or download/print one. I don't know if I can close up and zoom.

Hope you don't get another chance to photograph bats coming from your house. Bats are cool but not in the house : }

Have a great day!
