Just got an email from my little brother... I mean, younger brother, he just found out a magazine called Missouri Life has listed his flea market, The Picket Fence, in their top 5 flea markets in the STATE! WOOOOHOOOO

it would be so much fun owning a flea market. My hub dislikes going to them or garage sales or thrift stores, which is kind of a bummer for me. would turn the building into an art gallery and coffee shop with internet hook up :D I can dream

My brother has fun with his flea market but I know it's a lot of work too. They are open 6 days a week and don't have a lot of free time off.

My hubby doesn't like flea markets, thrift stores or garage sales either. I don't expect him to go with me. My Mom is almost always willing to go, I have several friends who enjoy hunting and if no one is available, I'll go alone.

Rocky's building would make an awesome art gallery/coffee shop! Don't know how much business an art gallery would have in that location. I think a lot of his business now is coming from local folks who don't want to drive to a nearby city for just one or two things they could get at the flea market. They have LOTS of variety - new/old/junk/treasures!
