Doctors all overbook to compensate should anyone miss an appointment, they don't want to lose any money.

thank goodness for insurance.

the Goodwill stores around here cost about the same as a regular store!

Doesn't make sense to me to have a room full of people sitting in a doctor's waiting room just so the doc doesn't lose any money. Heck time is money! (said the woman who is wasting a day). If everyone in the waiting room had to wait 2 hours and there were about 12 people thats 24 hours just for the time we were there.

I've heard other people say the same thing about Goodwill stores in their areas. Makes me wonder if they sell anything if the prices are so high. Our Goodwill store has really good prices. The leather purse I bought was like new (except for a couple of toothpicks in the bottom) and it was only $3 (after Mom's 25% Senior discount). The doll house was $3 too and it was in perfect condition. The parking lot is always full at our Goodwill. Inside is very clean, neat and organized. It's so fun to shop because the inventory is different all the time.

Are you having any fun today Tricia? Puggies glad to have their Mama home?

well, I'm allowing myself to go about all the chores and stuff at a leisurely pace while puggies snore away contentedly :) I've spent most of the morning uploading prints to my etsy shop, which, rarely sell anything there, but oh well, I think I'll keep trying till the end of the year.

Hubby is out of town on business so I have had the house to myself and have not had to worry about cooking dinner which is nice:D

I have a friend who knows the thrift shops very well(the good ones), I may ask her to take me this week to pick up some toys for when the grandkids come in July but then they will probably swim the whole time if the weather is like it is this week in the freakin 100s yuk!

hope you are enjoying your leisurely day too wendy!

If postage wasn't so darn high, I'd shop for your toys here. There seems to be an abundance of really good stuff for pennies.

Gotta have a good grandma toy box! But most toys will not compete with your swimming pool! How old are the grandkids? You know sometimes it takes so very little to entertain them.

So what do you eat when you don't fix dinner?

I sure miss having Toby puggy here. He is doing better now at son's house.

hehehe... so far looks like I am taking your advice. No mowing and lots of taking it easy : } Not very productive but feels pretty good.

What about the rest of the day? What do you think I should do? How bout tomorrow?

Carol, I like your style! : ) At least I am not driving the gas out of my car or spending money. I could so easily be a hermit!

Doctors waiting rooms are such a drag. I would have gone nuts, waiting for two hours. Your little grand daughter is a saint! :-)

Sounds like you scored at the Goodwill- yay! I went out thrifting today too- didn't buy anything, but still had a lot of fun.

We did find a few things to keep us occupied at the doctor's. No toys but there was a water fountain and people to greet getting on and off the elevator! Someone even left a perfectly good wheel chair sitting outside the ladies room. Autumn was fascinated by it! It wasn't someone's personal chair, it belonged to the doctor's office so I did let her check it out. She even sat in it. Than a little old lady came out of the restroom and Autumn got to see who might need a chair with wheels. Autumn is so curious and I feel lucky to get the chance to see through her new eyes.

Sorry you didn't find anything out thrifting. Maybe next time you hit it big!
