To Kindle or not to Kindle

That is the question.

Would you buy the Kindle at $359 or Sony Reader at $299.

Aaarrgghhh!

I also have some books in Microsoft Literature format. I assume I can't read them on either device. Anyone know? I'm rushed and haven't had time to research on my own.

Heya sweetie!

BTW, I have some friends that are trying to decide too. They are going with the Sony one because it comes with like 200 books already you can instantly start reading on it and that you can buy new books from other places except for Amazon. Borders I think or Barnes and Nobles are two places I think you can use the Sony one at online, but check.

Hi! Thanks so much for replying to my post!

I guess I should update my blog now and then... :)

As it turns out, I bought the Kindle, and I love it. LOVE it. I probably would have loved the Sony reader, too, but I guess the basic Internet access was sort of a plus for the Kindle. And I like the natural look of the pages (although it would be nice to be able to read in a dark room without a lamp or book light).

I have programs that can convert PDFs and LIT files, so I'm able to read some ebooks I already owned (as well as some free ones I've found online).

I'm loving the portable-ebook-reader-experience! Let me know if your friends wind up buying a reader and whether they like it.
