last week we were in San Francisco, where we hung out with my dad. We were only there for about 48 hours so we kept it pretty mellow. We went to work with Daddy at SF Opera both nights, where Nedward was of course much adored... but we went home early since at two he's not quite able to stay quiet and calm for that long. But then, I wasn't allowed to go until I was four!
During the day we hung out, walked around, visited Daddy's fave knitting shop, and went to
Dark Garden, where Daddy bought me a *gorgeous* black brocade corset - early Christmas present! I will have to take a picture. LOVE it.

Then Thursday we flew to Hawai'i. It took us a couple days to get oriented time-wise, though it would have been worse if we hadn't stopped in CA. We were pretty mellow over the weekend, though Friday we went to basket class with my mom & Bill. (There would be great pictures of that here, except they're on my laptop and I'm on my mom's. Sadly, I tried to read some pictures from her chip on my laptop, and the chip got stuck, and now apparently it may be toast. Still have to call Best Buy and get a quote... apparently the machine would have to be basically disassembled :( Anyway.)
We also went to the annual awards banquet at the yacht club, where members of Bill's Transpac crew took home not only Wahine Skipper of the Year but also Yachtswoman of the Year. Pretty cool!
Then Monday we went and looked at the daycare I will be sending Nedward to while we're here, so that he doesn't get completely out of the rhythm of school. It's nice, so he will start there next Monday - no point in this week, since half of it is Thanksgiving, plus he has to get some more doctor clearances. So today we went to a local pediatrician (whom I liked *very* much) and got a well-baby checkup, plus a HepA vaccine (which is a new recommendation for tots apparently), and a blood draw for his lead test, and a TB test (required in Hawai'i). Three needles, remarkably little screaming, yay! Also picked up prescriptions for fluoridated vitamin chews, since HI water is not fluoridated (nor is our water at home since we have a well), and hydrocortisone cream for his inevitable skeeter bites which he reacts to very badly.
Here's Nedward riding around in the car in Hawai'i:

Then tonight we went to a UH Rainbow Wahines volleyball game, which they won (against Loyola Marymount). Only one game left of the season, so it was very exiting. The 'Bows are big hometown heroes (heroines?) here. Nedward wore his 'Bows onesie that my mom gave him and was a big hit.
See?

And now, to bed. Tomorrow... I don't remember! tired :)
