Having to take Simone to the vet's is a special kind of shitty. There's no way of telling her that I'm actually trying to help; contrary to all my good intentions, she looks at me like she's trying to figure out why I have chosen to inflict further abuse upon her at a time when she's already suffering

I always feel SO bad when pets have to go to the vet. How the heck are they supposed to know it's good for them.

I remember we had a rabbit one time that we took to the vet. I swear...the rabbit was clinging to my arm he was so freaked. But it was like a hug...so it was kinda cute, too.
