I've been recruited by a friend of a friend of a friend to write little tidbit-sized restaurant and performing arts pieces for The Guide, which is an insert in the LA Times appearing every week or couple of weeks (not sure which exactly). The pieces are generally super short, most of them only 70-100 words, and I don't think I even get my name on

It still exists, great veggie Chinese place which I am sure many people have not heard enough about. And as far as "performing arts" I would suggest getting a play list of shows at the Orange County Performing ArtsCenter. Then do background on the plays for readers (:

Lotus Cafe in Orange? I believe they've been closed for a few years now. Boo! They were so good!
