Road trip, anyone?

So I've had a new preoccupation lately, and it's a good one: I'm buying a veggie-oil powered Mercedes in the next couple weeks, and swearing off gasoline for the foreseeable future. My new car will be old, beautiful, and best of all, carbon-free: its diesel engine will have been converted to run on recycled kitchen grease. I'm so, SO excited

Looks good (both physically and ideologically).

Assuming we culturally solve the current energy crisis, I'm expecting a much more diversified infrastructure, mostly using locally available resources and recycling fairly heavily.
