Excuse my political ranting. Maybe some of you have gone here in your thinking already, but I just feel compelled to vent a little. It got a little long, so click away. ( Read more... )
I thought he picked her, not as an alternate for Hillary supporters, but to fill in on the social conservative issues that he's not so strong on. I can't imagine any of the Clintons' supporters entertaining the THOUGHT of voting for her, even for a moment. She's pretty much the conservative anti-feminist. I CAN see her appealing to a whole class of historically under-represented conservative women voters though. The DNC *REALLY* needs to get it's act together for this election. As much as y'all want to believe it, Obama is not a forgone conclusion.
No, I totally get you. I was just thinking how when G.W. was first running, I was like 'no way is this failure of a politician is getting elected.' It seemed so unbelievable when he did. And when he was running for re-election it seemed like there was no way he could possibly win again. And then he did, which absolutely blew my mind. He already had four years to prove his ineptitude, and still managed to get elected.
So if that's not a lesson learned, then the democrats will never get their shit together.
