Second try drabble: Accessorising

Sep 14, 2008 00:50

I said yesterday that I'd try again with bulky_monster's prompt of door, and this is it. Thanks again for the bid!

Story: Accessorising
Author: wmr   wendymr
Characters: Ninth Doctor
Rated: G
Summary: There's a trick to standing out in a crowd

Accessorising

There’s a trick to standing out in a crowd, and it’s not just through being the cleverest or the best.

Thatcher’s handbag was both symbol and weapon. Churchill never made a speech without a cigar hanging from his lips. Nobody forgets Groucho’s moustache, or Madonna’s cone bra. Would Laurel and Hardy have made millions laugh without bowler hats, and could Fred have swept Ginger off her feet without top hat and cane?

You see, it’s not manners that maketh the man. What makes him distinctive is his choice of unique trademark.

And nobody, nobody wears a door like the Doctor.
