Divine Intervention
Please. Not the whole town, just save someone.
Not the first time someone’s pleaded with him to play God. To decide who lives, who dies. Sometimes - Cassandra - he’s ignored it; sometimes - Frank and Tallulah - he’s tried.
It’s not plucking people from historically-ordained deaths that troubles him. It’s that it’s even possible.
His people burned; no magical gods to rescue them.
Does she know what she’s asking? Save someone. A wise man said: if he chooses who lives and who dies, what does that make him?
Or, if she took that power herself, what would she become?
