He loses them all eventually. Every one of them.
Some leave him to rebuild lives, start families, have new and exciting adventures. Adventures he can’t share.
Some he leaves behind, whether they like it or not. Some never forgive him for it.
And some die, torn away from him by accident, disaster, or some mistake of his.
This time it’s all three.
He sent her away. She was torn from him through his carelessness. She’s with her family, living a new adventure he can’t share. And she is dead.
There are no forevers for a Time Lord. Only endless farewells.
