So I was nudged by andrian1 and figured I’d better make good on my promise to post more often. Hey, last time it was 33 weeks since posting, so 12 weeks is an improvement

I reread one of my old stories the other day and now I'm completely overhauling it because now I think my skills are much better and I can make it the story it was originally intended to be. Sometimes it happens, and this time around I'm much, much happier with what I wrote. Although I won't lie. There were a couple of places where I was all like: I wrote that? How clever of me! XD
I'm too scared to read my really old stuff... I know I'll want to take them down or fix them, and I don't want to do either. No time, mainly!! Maybe someday ;)
It is really funny... I thoguht the same thing in some places! Wow, *I* thought of that! Cool! Heh.
Don't you dare take "Cloak of Courage" down. :P I managed to convince quite a few people into sailing on the HG/SS ship thanks to your fic. Myself included. ;)
Oh, don't worry! I wasn't talking about Cloak of Courage - I actually liked that one on reread :D. I meant the older stuff - Time Does Not Heal All Wounds and Some Scars Never Fade. I wouldn't take them down, though... some people might still like them, and I always get irritated when other authors do that. But I understand the reasons, now!
If I ever get time, I'll go overhaul them and fix up some things, but unless I win the lottery and can quit work, I doubt that'll happen!
OMG!! It's so good to hear from you! I 've been seeing people coming out of the woodwork for the last week or so all over the place. It feels so nice.
As for fandom stuff, are you still writing The First Duty? If you need mmotivation, I can definitely be your cheering section. I still adore that story. Right now, I'm obsessing over Star Wars AU fics, and Criminal Minds. Hugs you!
I think it's the guilt of the holidays, making us come out of the woodwork ;).
I'm still writing The Dutiful Wife. Nag/cheer away - it'll help my motivation!! I really need to get back to it, since the next couple of chapters are blocked out and everything already. Thanks for the compliment :).
Hee. I know what you mean. I reread a couple of my own fanfic (the ones I never finished..blushes) and was surprised in a 'did I write this' or 'what was I thinking'
LOL! That's exactly my reaction. I'm too scared to go back and read the really old ones. I remember glancing back through them when I was writing Cloak and cringing a LOT. POV shifts, awkward dialogue, simplistic emotional reactions of the characters... ergh.
