Note: Below is a fragmented poem  I wrote on a tattered napkin (I'm not trying to copy Eminem)-I don't know why but napkins are handy at the time but are bad for keeping your writing on long-term-maybe it's sad tho that with the invention of lj now noone will be writing on napkins-Let me set the scene-me and ______went out for New Year's Eve in NY ( Read more... )

I didn't read bast the first paragraph, but wanted to say, about the napkins - I have writing, on napkins from 10+ years ago, still good as new. Well, a little wrinkled. But intact. So napkins last.

And I still use 'em. They're very convenient.

Also, on that note, I write differently - in a different voice - by hand than by keyboard, so I make a point to handwrite poetry at least as much as I type it.

It's like 2 different worlds.

lol, no, they're currently mixed up in a big cardboard box with a gigantic pile of poems and writing in various draft stages, ideas, lyrics, etc. that I never go into, and just collects dust in my closet.

I should retract "I still do," because I haven't actually used a napkin to write on in a year or two. But I would, if the situation warranted it.
