miracle_ss When JongWoon first met RyeoWook, he mistook him for a girl. More specifically, he mistook him for the blind date his mother had set him up with.
"Were you waiting long?" he asked, putting on his best smile as he pulled out the chair opposite RyeoWook's seat.
Looking over his petite figure, slender hands, and pretty cheekbones, he thought he might have underestimated his mother's taste. But he should have realized something was amiss when he saw RyeoWook's clothes. After all, it was rare to see girls show up for blind dates dressed in a dress shirt and suit pants.
"JongWoon-sshi?" RyeoWook asked, and JongWoon recalls being startled by the pitch of his voice. It was much lower than he had expected. "I'm Kim RyeoWook, SunKyu's cousin. She couldn't make it today. I'm... I'm really sorry about the inconvenience."
Typical, JongWoon had thought. These days, people sent an sms when they cancelled plans, but this SunKyu had declined to give out her number. It was probably a safer decision overall, but it wasn't as though JongWoon was a stalker or serial killer.
"So...She sent you as a replacement?" The disappointment was only half-genuine. He hadn't been looking forward to the date, and RyeoWook was much prettier than he had been expecting, anyway.
RyeoWook blinked at him, clearly taken back by the suggestion. The nervous laugh that escaped his lips was closer to the pitch YehSung had been expecting all along.
"Ah, that's... a joke, isn't it? SunKyu didn't want to leave a note - she thought it would be too impersonal. Again, I'm really sorry about the inconvenience."
"It's all right. But what are you up to tonight?"
It was only when RyeoWook stood up, making an excuse about having a prior engagement, that JongWoon finally noticed how obviously flat-chested he was for a girl.

YehSung bumped into RyeoWook three times during his first tango lesson. The first time, he stepped on his foot. How this was possible when they were part of separate couples was beyond him and just about everyone else in the room, but it happened.
The second time, he didn't make direct contact, but somehow spun his partner inbetween RyeoWook and his. Yuri had gone crashing to the floor and looked ready to blow his head off with an automatic pistol at the first opportunity. It was probably only her pride and determination to go on that saved him.
But the third time, he knocked RyeoWook into a nearby wall.
"Oh my God, I'm so sorry!" Yuri exclaimed on his behalf, casting YehSung a dark glare. He was at RyeoWook's side in an instant, offering a hand to help him up and echoing her apologies. He could feel everyone's eyes on him and tried not to blush too red from embarrassment, focusing on checking RyeoWook for bruises or other injuries.
RyeoWook winced as he pushed himself off the floor, but smiled up at YehSung as he took his hand. "It's okay. It happens."
Surprised that he didn't get so much as a, "Watch where you're going!" YehSung was entirely taken aback and had no words to say after that. RyeoWook returned to his partner and the lesson resumed without too much incident.
Now that YehSung and Yuri were banished to the far corner, they couldn't really get in anyone's way.

The first time YehSung met Ryeowook, he had knocked him over in his rush to get to rehearsal. JunYoung had been pulled from Super Junior and rumor had it they were getting a replacement. Fortunately, he only had one line in their promotional single and didn't do very much as far as the routine went. But this was a new addition to the team, and it was bound to mess with their dynamics.
With all this in mind, YehSung wasn't able to devote his attention entirely to where he was going. He only noticed when he heard a sharp hiss of pain from behind him.
"Oh my God, I'm so sorry!" were the first words out of his mouth, even before he had fully turned around. It was a habit, at this point.
Rushing to help RyeoWook up, he gave him a once-over. Pretty hands and high, sharp cheekbones. He was thin and tiny, with barely a neck to speak of. Another new trainee? He seemed lost enough to be one, smiling so openly at YehSung even though most other trainees were warned about him from the start and tried to stay out of his way.
"I'm okay. I'm just... can you help me? I'm lost."
Definitely new, YehSung concluded. "Where are you headed?"
"I don't know where the offices are," RyeoWook replied with a sheepish smile. "I'm trying to find... SeungHyun-sshi?"
Luckily for him, YehSung knew exactly where SeungHyun's office was. He was one of Super Junior's many new managers, after all.
"Thank you. I hope we'll see more of each other," RyeoWook said with a smile and a bow before he turned to go.
As it turned out, RyeoWook was to be replacing JunYoung, and YehSung would be seeing a lot more of him in the weeks to come.

"It's so embarrassing," JongWoon muttered into his pillow. Or, more accurately SungMin's pillow, since he was at SungMin's apartment confessing his shame.
SungMin shook his head and threw another pillow at JongWoon's head, earning him a sharp "Ow!" as JongWoon jerked his head up to glower at him.
"Of course it's embarrassing. It's the story of your life."
Because they had been friends since they were in diapers, JongWoon often "let" SungMin win these battles. That is to say, he pouted and tried to change the subject, rather than actually retaliate, because SungMin was pretty much always right.
"So what'd you do after you realized he was a boy?"
JongWoon bit his lips, eyes averting from SungMin's face. He was more embarrassed to admit this than to admit that he'd made the mistake in the first place. "I, uh, ran."
SungMin blinked at him slowly. "And let me guess... you knocked yourself into a table and went flying across the room?" When JongWoon didn't answer, he rolled his eyes and scoffed softly. "You need to watch where you're going."
JongWoon groaned and buried his face back in SungMin's pillow.
