After breakfast, I went out into the frosty sun of the back yard and blóted Ár/Eir, Bragi, Saga, Snotra, Mímir, and the norns. A hummingbird landed in a neighbor's tree and his breast flashed red in the sun; a little later, after he flew away, the mostly white cat came out to hunt on the fence tops.

After work and dog-walking, I blóted Mona, Sunne, Bil, Hjúki, Dæg, and Niht in the garden. Seagulls were soaring in the blue sky, mourning doves flitting above the fencelines, and somewhere a woodpecker was hammering ... and a rooster crowing.

After coming home from work I blóted Iðunn, Eostre, Mæginde, Auschlinde, and Seaxnót in the back yard with the last of the Riesling and the start of a bottle of local Cabernet. (Yes, two of those are UPI.) It's cold, but little birds are excitedly chattering in the big oak tree two yards up the street.

After returning home from work, I went out in the backyard and blóted Heimdallr, Gná, Hermóðr, Skírnir, and Nehalennia with more of the Riesling. The lawn was dusted with frost and I could see my breath, but birds were cheeping busily in the morning sunshine.

I blóted Erce (Jǫrð, Eorþe), Nerthus/Hreþe just in case Tacitus and/or Bede was right, Fjǫrgyn, Ægir, Rán, and their nine daughters in the sun in the backyard, then wassailed the trees.

After breakfast I blóted Ullr, Skaði, Rind, and Holda/Perht in the yard with California Riesling as a breeze blew up in the morning sunshine.
(LJ apparently didn't take this entry)

This morning I blóted Tíw, Fosite, Hlín, Syn, Vár, Vǫr, Þorgerðr Hǫlgabrúðr, and Irpa in the yard with the last of the rosé wine. The grass was wet from overnight rain and a seagull soared overhead.

I blóted Wóden, Frige, Vili, Vé (Hœnir, Loðurr), Buri, Bor, Bestla, Baldr, Nanna, Viðarr, and Váli in the garden with more of the rosé. It's another still and mild morning, with the sun shining yellowly from under the clouds.

I came home, fed the dog, and then blóted Thor, Sif, Magni, Móði, and Þrúðr in the garden with California rosé, among the busy chatter of the birds and surrounded by the new grass.
