Life on the West Coast...
is good!
The family was in Portland last weekend for a juggling festival and came home via Hood River where we acquired fresh apples. Today I made an apple pie using some of the aforementioned apples. As you can see, it is delicious. (There are five slices left... for now)

It's like they made shoes for gorillas (or people like me who would rather wander around barefoot!)

And it is too bad I'm 2000 miles away, as I would probably be beating down your door for some of that pie (everyone around here only makes peach or pecan, both of which I hate)

You're welcome. I still think the toe-shoes are great and am looking forward to more people wearing them... so fewer people have to ask me about mine.
