Today's illustration from Chuang Tzu matches several passages. Just as the Uncarven Log is a recurrent theme in the Tao Te Ching, Chuang Tzu repeatedly makes reference to one's mind being in a state like a leaf, floating effortlessly down a river. Awww, that makes me feel good. Thanks! I do put a lot of effort into my nature paintings -- all that time on the AT helped, I think. Nature is something I feel a particular connection too.

There's a sum-e tree coming up tomorrow you might like too. ;-)
