Jin Hyuk doesn't count himself as a lucky man.
He lost the woman he loved in an unfortunate accident. He fell off the hospital ceiling. He was somehow transported into the Joseon era. He was chased off a cliff. He was saved by some drunkard. He was an accomplice in stealing someone's clothing. He was harassed by a gangster. He saved the same gangster. He thought he saw the woman he loved in the streets of Joseon.
And then, he met sparkly and most-definitely not of this time, Jung Yunho. Dressed in what must have been his stage clothes, the popular idol walked down the streets of Joseon like some kind of tourist.
His drunkard companion looked at Jin and asked, "Someone you know? Definitely looks crazy enough to be…"
Jin was rather tempted to leave the idol walking around in his tight jeans and sleeveless leather vest but it seemed rather heartless to do and, well, it was kind of relieving that he's not the only one.
"Hey, you!" Jin calls in a whisper. He wracked his brain for a name. It was definitely someone Mina used to follow, but who? "Er…Yunhyun? Yuho?"
Even though all the names were wrong, it still got the tall man's attention. The idol flashed a blinding smile toward the doctor and Jin could see some women turn away in flushed embarrassment.
"Were you…calling for me?" the idol asked, meeker than Jin remembers the man being on television. But then again, this supernatural occurance would make anyone feel less confident than they already were.
"Eh, um," Jin stutters, not sure what to ask. He knows this man is from the future but how to ask without this obnoxious drunkard finding how?
As though he could sense the doctor's uncertainty, he introduces himself, "I'm Jung Yunho. I'm apart of Dong Bang Shin Ki from SM Entertainment."
SM Entertainment. Definitely a name from the future. Jin looks at the idol with a smile. Ah, it was nice to know he wasn't the only one.
"Ji-" he began to reply but the loud drunkard pushed the two of them into a small alley way.
"100 Yang! Run, crazies, run!" the red clad drunkard yelled and sprinted off in a different direction. Jin had yet to react to the police that came running after them but Yunho grabbed the doctor and pulled him along through winding streets.
"Stop!" the three officers running after them yelled.
"Hey, do you think you can out run them?" Yunho asks, breathing slightly.
"Eh? Uh, no?" Jin says, breathing much more heavily.
The idol throws the doctor ahead of him and calls, "Just keep running! I'll catch up soon!"
"Wait, what?"
"Yo-you!" the guards sputter as the idol lands a few good kicks on them. In a rush of wounded pride, the three guards turned tail to chase the already fleeing Yunho. Jin stood there for a good few moments, wondering whether it was a requirement for idols to be reckless and unflappable.
Throughout the day, Jin could only stumble around the town, avoiding any police. He had no idea where to go and staying in one place seemed too dangerous. Hiding in someone's shed can only work for so long.
"Found you!"
Jin jumped as a hand grabbed his shoulders. Yunho's teeth were the first thing that Jin saw after turning around quickly.
"Oh…it's just you," Jin sighs.
"Just Yunho's fine, hyung," the idol smiles.
"My name's Ji-" the doctor starts to say but a stumbling body slams into him. "Oh, I'm sorry. My name is-"
"Hyung…I think he's hurt," Yunho interrupts. Jin takes a look at the fallen man and indeed, a large bleeding gash decorated the man's forehead.
"We don't have much time!" Jin says as he diagnosis the patient in his mind. Yunho seems to jump in surprise but retains his composure much faster than Jin expected.
"What should we do?" Yunho asks.
"First, find a place where we can lay him down for the operation," Jin says. Yunho nods and runs to the nearest door, knocking it with urgency.
"Who is it--wait, isn't that Scholar Hong?!"
Of course, this Scholar Hong ends up being the brother of the woman with Mina's face. They save Scholar Hong, of course.
"Because I came to this world to look for you! And I can't believe you found me first."
And of course, they end up in jail.
"I found him. I found him," Yunho whispers all night. Even as Jin gives some very basic first aid to the idols reddening back, Yunho seems to not feel any of the pain. "Jaejoong…Jaejoongie, I won't let you go. Not this time."
Now Jin Hyuk knows he's an unlucky person. After falling off the hospital and landing in the Joseon era, Jin Hyuk didn't think his luck could get much worse but with his companion being a rather well known modern day idol, Jung Yunho, the doctor's not sure who's worse off, him or Kim Kyungtak.
Even though Jin hated the Kyungtak's guts, he couldn't help but feel a tug of sympathy for the police officer. They thought he was a nutcase, but Jin was rather sure Jung Yunho was the real nutcase.
