I haven't made a real post in a while...still here, enjoying my job as a farmer's market bread seller, but looking for something on a higher pay scale. Figuring out whether I should go back to school within the next few years, if so how I'm going to get in and pay for it, and if not what my career plan is going to be. Maybe the way to go with the weird salespeople is to walk into stores until you meet someone who isn't going to drive you nuts, and then tell them you want to make an appointment with *them*.

That would be awesome...also I can't believe I forgot about Oregon when trying to figure how the distance to Seattle. I fail at geography.

Hmmm, I think you could walk into a store and tell them you just wanted to brouse -- at least you can here, in the small stores. If they insist on an appointment, say -- very authoritately -- that you don't want to make an appointment until you have an idea of what's there. Or maybe you just need to adopt a woman over 30 to go with you and be bossy.
