Disappointingly, as it flies, it starts to look a lot more like Scott's Zord before it hits. Can't let the girl's weapon be the important one in the finisher, huh?

What it looks like depends on who inserts their Engine Cell as ammo. I assure you you'll see it look like a bear at multiple points in the future.

Pretty much! Though the US team has done a pretty good job at hiding the more obvious silly bits under the rampant post-apocalyptic feel.

Say, speaking of which, does sentai have that fire effect around the car thingy for the team finisher?

Yes. Glowiness and sparkles were ALWAYS added in, no matter what season we're talking about. Which makes it a huge surprise to see outright fire kept without any attempt at hiding it.

I'd figured it had to take place pretty close to the present day because of the status of what's left of human technology: Corinth looks more like Angel Grove plus a few of Dr. K's advancements (the tower) than Newtech. Especially our heroes' cars.
