[ ] End of Evangelion (no plans to see this one, even if it's a "must see for anime fans." For one, I happen to like a few things that happen to be from Japan, but that doesn't make me an enthusiast about all things Japanese. As I understand it, the reason Eva makes little sense is because it isn't supposed to make sense: they ran out of money so the last two episodes are what they are because they had to be done with no new footage or next to it, and the movie was the way it is because the creator was having serious emotional issues, got death threats about the TV ending, and basically said "You think the last two episodes sucked? Well, EAT THIS, LOSERS!" In other words, neither version of the ending was written with "provide a good conclusion to the story we've told thus far" in mind, and that's unlikely to end well, and... I've only got so many hours in a day. The three or so episodes of the series I've seen will have to do. I might check out the Rebuild movies eventually, though.)
