ceredwensirius made me do it! I'm making a list of all of the HP related offering available for donations to charities dealing with the aftermath of the flooding in Australia.

Lots of bargains still available at qldfloodauction

You have to see the lists for the regular auction! And I haven't looked at fandom_flood_ap or the DW auction that I found yet! (There weren't a lot of R/S authors that I recognize so I'm going with everyone that promises HP.)

Plus, I bid on things in the lightening round. None of the 3 recommended charities would "take" either of my Visa cards. The authors are asking for prompts but I tried, unsuccessfully, to find an Australian charity that I can donate to online. And despite promises from the mods, they've done nothing about this yet. So hear I am corresponding with 5 authors.......

I'm crabby today! So I had to blame someone.

Well that is just stupid. What about paypal? Do they take paypal?

I'm hosting an anonymous kink meme on my journal. I know you're not that into pr0n, but maybe some shameless getting it on will perk you up.

I told the mods at qldfloodauction about the problem more than 24 hours ago. They said, oh thank you very much for the info, we'll have to do something...... At least another 2 users have asked for a way to donate with paypal. So far nothing! I've followed through all of the leads I could find/think of, but I struck out.

All of the biggies that I tried, like UNICEF, the American Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders are pushing Haiti's ongoing needs or they are collecting for the floods in Pakistan. This will probably be an issue at all three sites since they are all using the same charities. But how stupid are these charities? For EVERY disaster, the majority of monetary donations come from the US. And most people want to use a credit card to donate online or over the phone. So what the hell are they about without making arrangements for this?!
