today in history we talked about the link between racism and misogynism. and i must say, i thought of some pretty insightful bullshit when my professor called on me and totally put me on the spot. we also talked about the link between slavery and marriage, two terms which my teacher called "rather synonymous."

Why does your teacher randomly just call on you? That's kind of intimidating. But it's also where I shine. And apparently, you do too :)

i know, it really is uber-intimidating! that's how they do it in law school - socratic method - they just randomly call on people. and since this is a law class, i think my teacher may be used to doing that. but yeah, she just stands in the front with a list of names and randomly picks people, and then if you say something insightful/correct/useful she puts a check mark by your name. yikes!
