Still too close to definitively rule it out. Tensions between Georgia and Russia have been high since the USSR's dissolution. You can bet dollars to pesos that pipeline is a big part of why.
From what I see, the only reason behind any claims for "independence" is to stir up some poor people and get yet another gang of bloody greedy politicians to raise to power on the shoulders and blood of the said people.
I never said I support ossetian independence. What I meant to say here is that whoever mounts the aggression (whether that's Ossetia or Georgia, I don't really care) should expect their ass kicked, and that would be damn fair.
Ahh, for full picture it would be nice to hear your stance about stuff that happened in Chechnya, like who was aggressor there?
>I never said I support ossetian independence.
Sure thing. You support annexation of territories of neighboring countries by Russia by means of war then? (what frikking independence? "Iskonno russkie zemli", ne?)

Especially taking in account a certain quote:
From what I see, the only reason behind any claims for "independence" is to stir up some poor people and get yet another gang of bloody greedy politicians to raise to power on the shoulders and blood of the said people.
Do you possibly remember who said that?
