Well, a few years ago Spider-Man made a pact with the Marvel comics equivalent of Satan to no longer be married anymore. It pissed off a lot of people. I can understand the frustration of the writers and editors that the fans won't let it go... And some fans will never let it go. But, yeah, it lacks professionalism.
