The Story So Far

This Yosuke is from a Wild Arms/Western-based AU, and as such there are gonna be some major differences about him, besides that he can shoot a gun damn well and knows how to ride Souji a horse.

Filgaia The world is dying. It has been for a long time, since the Elw nearly destroyed it trying to drive away the demons that had come to live there. Nowadays, most humans bear the blood of those same demons, allowing them to use ARMs as they struggle to survive.

There's a little town out there, near a small sea, that was peaceful, if boring. Many Drifters--self-styled cowboys, fighting and taking jobs for their own reasons--stop there on their way to bigger and better places.

Yosuke's father had owned the saloon there, but the teenager had always been restless. It wasn't until a mysterious gray-haired man--no, a boy, no older than Yosuke himself--had come to town to stay for a while. It started then.

There were murders, people being brutally killed. The town doctor couldn't identify what was killing them, and that gray-haired drifter took on the job, much to the displeasure of the local sheriff. He wasn't quick enough to stop Yosuke from going out into the desert to call them out. He confronted a dark mirror of himself in the fog, and it was only because of Souji that he survived. Armed now with the power to summon an ancient god, Yosuke joined forces with Souji, seeking to stop what was happening at the request of the strange creature called 'Teddie'.

One year. One year it took them, gathering more companions and traveling across the sea and back again before they found the culprit, an ancient goddess bent on giving humanity the despair they so wished for. They did their best, defeating her and convincing her that maybe, maybe, there was still hope for this planet.

And then Souji said he was leaving. Yosuke was less than pleased with this. They were partners, weren't they? So after jumping out of the inn window and tackling him clear off his horse, the young man made it clear.

He'd be following Souji, thank you.

Still, this world's a harsh one...they'd make do somehow. Take what jobs they could. That's all that mattered, right?
