All About You
1. Describe your ideal house/home. Please go into as much detail as possible, and be sure to include your ideal geographical location in the description!
I would love to live in a relatively small home, with two rooms, one for me and the other for a guest, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a living room. :) Maybe it should be a bungalow by a lake in a quiet town in the US, (maybe Montana!) since I love my country and would be greatly saddened if I ever had to leave it. XD However, I don't want to live in the middle of nowhere, so probably near the countryside border so I can see nice views if nature AND get to visit the marketplace for food and items. :) That's it.
I've always been a rather simple person; I would love my home to be simple and to the point, with thousands of old, antique books in neatly stacked bookshelves, a study desk in my bedroom, some furniture scattered around, and posters of quotes by wise people throughout the ages. I love to study and read, especially on philosophy and religion, because they teach you about new things and things you cannot hope to find/understand on earth, and novels/books because they will whisk you to another world. :D
I would only want my home to be in the US, nowhere else. ^^; I can travel to other countries, but I love the US too much to go anywhere. :3
2. Imagine you’re given the classic opportunity: a genie granting you three wishes. What would you wish for? Please be as elaborate as you can. Wishing for more wishes is not permitted!
1) World peace. Honestly, since I'm a history nerd, I've read through billions of accounts of slaughter and corruption in history, and really, I am absolutely sickened by it, and I know this wish is huge, since you have to change the very DNA of humanity to accomplish this. XD Humans have always been immoral with each other (ASOIAF is a prime example- even in times of danger from otherwordly forces they still squabble amongst each other), and, to top it off, for ridiculous, unlegitimate reasons. Like, WWI was started for a person. Bloody ludicrous. Even if he was a person of high position. Humans have been killing each other for long enough, with the brunt suffered by the common people while the aristocrats ordering the slaughter and sitting in their mansions drinking tea while outside people were screaming and washed away in blood.
2) Visit Japan for a month or two (maybe as a transfer student? idk). Oh my gosh, I'm an avid fan of manga/anime (Hetalia, Code Geass, etc.), so of course I want to visit there! Especially to buy doujins, since I pay HUGE amounts of money to get them from Japan to me. XO It'd be a dream of mine, to pay for those books without commission, shipping, bank transfer fees, just the book and tax. But I'm sure just getting off the plane to Japan will suck away all of my money, lol. And, after visiting Japan, travel around the world to learn about new things and, of course, who can forget to sightsee? :D Gosh, I really want to explore the world and see the wonders (and, to a lesser extent, horrors) of the world.
3) Power to protect the earth/protect the earth. In other words, stop global warming, because this issue is not only killing humans but all types of animals, and I hate it when unnecessary lives are lost. Besides, the earth deserves better and should not die within 300 years of the Industrial Revolution. She has been living for more than a couple of billion years, and I believe she should continue being that way without bursting into an uninhabitable, hot, carbon-filled planet. I hate it when people are wasteful and throw like 1/2 of their food into the trashcan while people are starving in Asia and Africa and in other parts of the world. That's not preserving the world at all!
3. In your life so far, what accomplishment are you the most proud of? Why? You can list more than one if you have trouble deciding. ;)
Hmm... hard question, since I'm not so sure of having done any worth mentioning, but I'm proud of me capable of reading over 5000 pages within a week (no mangas!), since it's quite hard to do so, and capable of (I think) understanding the nature of humanity, since most people cannot see through it and even if they do they don't seek to correct them.
I'm also proud of being kind to others (I think!) and not judgemental, because in this society nearly everyone judges and stereotypes, and for the most part judgements are wrong. I guess I also get good grades, but I don't really mind much about it so much to list it as an accomplishment...
4. Which of the following is most important to you: Love, Money, Knowledge, Family, Friendship, Adventure, or Pleasure? Which is the least important to you? Please explain why for each choice.
Oh my God, this is totally unfair. We need all of these to survive and live, you can't go without any, really! '
But to be honest, I'd pick love (not in the making-love love, but in universal love, the love for newborns, the love for humanity, unconditionaql love) because without love, everything else listed would have not been created, for knowledge is invented from the love to pursue education and understand humanity, love for family, love for adventure, etc. Love is the stable foundation for everything in this world- without love nothing would be, because this four-lettered word is the most important thing in this world. It's not a thing, really, it's an emotion that can surpass even the most brutal hell and night, will unite humanity together and will urge the children of today into tomorrow. :)
I think knowledge and adventure would tie for second place in my opinion. Just letting you know XD
Money is the least important thing on here to me. This is necessary for humanity, but money is often the one-way ticket to hell- not that money is bad, but money corrupts, and honestly I don't see the need to pursue a life of profit. But either way, money is the least important because I do not cherish money and while I need it, I do not feel an obsession to collect more money than I need.
5. What's one quote (or passage, song lyric, etc.) that effectively describes you and your values? Explain.
"I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear." -- MLK
I completely agree with this because I do believe hate is a great pain to carry around, like a weight that you can never lift. It's silly to hate, I believe, and you don't have to agree with me, because life is so much more than hating on humanity, society, or on a person. It's hard to not to hate, hard to love, but hate is something that will make your heart ugly and hurt the people you love, and, I believe, will drag you to hell one day because of your actions derived from hate. When you're in love/love, your heart will be light, happy, and no matter what condition you're in on the outside, you'll always remain happy :)
6. How do you manage your money? On that note, how important is money/financial security to you? Go into as much detail as you can.
I manage my money pretty well, I believe. I don't usually put myself into debts, and I only spend the money I have, and even then I don't buy a lot of the things I want, only books I want and basic items like toothbrush, toothpaste XD I'm not going to delve so deeply in this topic for reasons. However, money is not very important to me but financial security is. I hate it when I'm unsure of how much I have to spend at the book store or the supermarket, and I always bring more than enough money to make sure I don't run out just in case. Being financially insecure is a horror and, really, a nightmare for me.
7. Name (and elaborate on) some of your hobbies. What are your favorite things to do outside of school/the office?
Well, I love to draw, and I'm actually pretty good at sketching, so. XD I'm good at sketching in anime-related art. :) I also write, but I only do that when inspiration comes up, and it's quite hard for me to write, but once I write, people tell me I write really good stories, so. XD Maybe I can write a thing or two for this fandom. :) I also like taking walks in the park or around town, especially in more secluded areas- I like viewing the views. <3
Of course, the biggest hobby of mine is READING. I read. And read. And read. I don't know who can come between me and a book/fanfiction. XD Well, except my parents of course, but that's another story. ;u;
8. Name three things you are afraid of. Explain.
1) Heights. I have acrophobia, and I hate it when I see the view below- I always get paralyzed, thinking of my gruesome death and brain scattered on the concrete. D: Call me masochistic, I guess I am. XD I also get dizzy while riding the elevators or walking down on a VERY steep hill.
2) Myself. Yes. I am afraid of myself. I am afraid of what I will do in the future, afraid to know if I have harmed anyone I loved/made the wrong decision, afraid of my future, afraid of my destiny and the paths I will take. Honestly, there is so much in the future and humans change so much I'm not sure what I will be like in 5 years as opposed to now, This might seem to some people ridiculous but on the upside I also love myself. XD I love and am deathly afraid of myself at the same time. ;u;
3) Being alone. That feeling is terrible- I'm sure all of you have felt it, when that moment come and nobody is by your side to help you and support you, and you don't fall into someone's arms but rather onto the cold ground. I don't know how to describe it, but it's a feeling I would never want to face again- for me, that's even worse than being burned (of which I am afraid of as well)- if I go to hell that would probably be my hell.
9. Name (and elaborate on) your top three BEST and top three WORST qualities (personality-related, not physical). Please answer as fully as you can, as this is an important question.
1) Considerate. I am very considerate of other people, and, to some extent, a people-pleaser. I am also very blunt, but that's me trying to be considerate by telling them exactly how I feel about them so I wouldn't have to face the day when they've realized I've lied to them. That way, I'm not a fake friend and she/he can trust me for honest opinion when everyone around him/her is flakey. I also am patient and understanding, but that's part of being considerate so yeah. XD I am not without fairness- for example, when two friends come to me to reslove a problem, I tell them my opinion of both and what you should do to solve it without (I think) favoring one over another. That, I believe, is a great accomplishment. :)
2) Happy-go-lucky attitude. I am, in real life, a very cheerful person with a weird sense of humor, and people come to me for my laughs and smile (I think, lol). I act a bit differently around my family, not being as happy and exposing more of my vulnerable side to them, which makes me sometimes depressing at home (I think a lot, or so my family and friends tell me) When I'm with friends, I can hardly go a minute without bursting into laughters or smiling so wide my cheeks hurt. I think that's the main reason why I have many friends, with the second thing my brutal honesty in regards to them. I am actually probably the most random person in the world lol, when people are discussing about a project or something I'd randomly drop a few words about the pizza I ate last night and people would stare at me and be like wtf? lol
3) Thoughtfulness. I think a lot, like I've mentioned earlier. A lot of my friends have told me so, since I always bring those big philosophy or history books to school to bury my nose in in my free time. I think about my life, my future, my past, the generation of tomorrow, the world, history, everything my mind can think and will think. Thinking is a natural instinct for me- I often sit around, just thinking of ideas and philosophy all day long if given the chance to, like in my free time. :)
-3) Domineering-ness. I am actually bossy in real life- not much in most situations, but in situations I am in, I take lead of the situation and try to control everyone, which lead to people not wanting to follow me, but I think they got scared by my good poker face and followed anyway. XD Some people who I've worked with tell me I looked utterly scary while ordering people around, which leads to no one wanting to go against my orders. o.o
-2) Brutal honesty. Yes, this is both a gift and a curse. I can't make myself tell a lie or half truth about someone- I almost always say exactly what I think about them, exception being on the Internet. And people have come to hate me or love me for that, I don't know. I guess it pained people to hear that, but hey, they wanted to hear it, what can I say? That they're beautiful when in fact they're really not? People are not perfect and I can't agree with people who always say lies about people to make them feel more worthy. That's really hurting the people you love, but some might disagree, and what can I say?
-1) Incapability to show real emotions on the outside. Yes, I smile and am happy, I guess, but I don't cry or show my anger out loud and I often talk back to people whio have insulted me/angered me, which, I sadly admit, included my parents for a time. They've cried and yelled at me, right before my eyes, and I've hardly broke down while seeing them like that. My parents once told me that I stared emotionlessly at them when they looked at me. I am very emotionless (on the outside) when I don't laugh and smile.
A Song of Ice and Fire Related
1.How many books from the series have you completed?
The first four- I'm currently planning to buy the 5th books soon, probably next week. XD
2.Who are your favorite three characters in the series? Why?
Arya Stark: she's awesome, though I don't entirely agree with her killing the people she felt has wronged her, because in life you don't get your way and you don't kill people for that. I like Arya because she faces situations she's in unflinchingly, not afraid of anything, even kissing a yellow skull and eating a warm in its eye. o_o She's the wild girl, brave, ruthless, resourceful, and very down-to-earth and loyal to her family, though she's also merciless. :p I loved her guts and thinking throughout the series- she has really changed from the young, mischievous girl to a brave?, ruthless assassin who doesn't know her destiny yet.
Tyrion Lannister: his wit made me smile so many times throughout the series it's not even funny. Honestly, he's super funny, has a brain (unlike Cersei), and wants more or less a kingdom with peace, and that itself makes him a more decent person compared to the other contestants in the Game of Thrones. I can also relate to him quite a bit, and I feel for him when he got betrayed and hurt for some many times by his family. Truly, it's the strong devour the weak, huh?
Jaime Lannister: at first, I didn't like him because of him throwing Brandon Stark out the window (seriously?) but later on in A Storm of Swords I saw his maturity and development grow immensely and became something of a wise man, and in love with Cersei but realized that she was nothing but a fool. But, tbh, the characters I truly adore are the first two since they're so interesting so that's why I had nearly nothing to say about Jaime. :p
3.Who are your least favorite three characters in the series? Why?
Cersei Lannister. She killed babies, honestly, and is a fool who thinks she's all that. She tries to protect her own children but she doesn't know how to and nor does she give a flying **** about what happens to them, so long as they're alive and not with the Tyrells. She doesn't understand them, nor does she try to, yet believes she loves them. Honestly, love is about understanding, adn if you don't understand then how can you love them? I think she's nothing but eye candy and believes she's so much better than Robert when in fact she's a greater fool than he is and can never compare to Tywin Lannister's coldblooded wit.
Daenerys: because she's bratty, believes that she's the heir to the Iron Throne, calls Robert the Usurper when in fact her ANCESTORS CAME IN AND FUCKING TOOK THE KINGDOMS AND CALLED IT THEIRS, boring, and doesn't understand anything, in my opinion at least. Welp, I think I actually hate her the most, with Cersei trailing behind very closely.
Rhaegar Targaryen: I like him yet hate him at the same time. He was the main reason why thousands died in the rebellion in Robert's Rebellion, all for a prophecy. He gambled lives and a kingdom for a prophecy, and was wrong to assume that Aegon, his son, was the Azor Ahai reborn. However, I believe he also took Lyanna Stark (or did she come willingly to him? Guess we'll find out as well) for love, and that made me pity him and like him. I guess this is a love/hate relationship I feel for him in regards to his personality. There's something more to him that I would like to know, and I would love to find that out, but until then I must settle for this, because he risked a kingdom for his prophecy and a woman and lost it.
4.#1 Favorite moment in all of ASOIAF so far? Why?
When Grand Maester Pycelle told Cersei that she should never try to look into the future, for some doors are best to be closed. Wise words indeed, the wisest I've ever heard from ANYONE in the books so far.
5. In your dream-world, how would you like to see the series end, and why?
Meh, I go with the flow because I simply don't have a dreamworld for ASOIAF to end, I would love whatever GRRM throw at me because I have faith that he would create an ending that is satisfying yet bittersweet at the same time. However, I'd love it if Daenerys doesn't get the throne (but if she's the fairest and kindest out of all of them, so be it) because of her bratty attitude I feel emanating off of her, Arya and Jaime and Tyrion live and Arya finds Gendry and Jon once again. :)
