Sansa in the vale!

The chapter starts with Sansa waking from a dream, she says often she dreams of Ilyn Payne but last night she had been dreaming of home. She begins to think on the situation in the Vale, Lysa is lonely because Petyr is often away, the lords are close to revolt and Marillion is still perving at her. She mentions that two maids and a page have been dismissed for telling "lies" about him. She mentions Lysa again saying that the vale is not the "idyll" she makes it out to be. Sansa recognises that Lysa's mental health is very fragile.

When she looks outside she realises it's snowing, it makes me smile how excited she is about this, I am exactly the same. It reminds her of her last day at Winterfell and she reflects that "I thought my sing was beginning that day, but it was almost done." I dont think she means that her song at that moment is almost done, rather she is reflecting on how close she came to dying in Kings Landing. She also says that the snow took her back to "the long summer of her childhood". This, for me, is such a Stark thing to say. The snow remindning her of summer, rather than winter. At the beginning of the chapter she has to remind herself that she is Alayne Stone, but Sansa Stark keeps shining through.

After a bit more reminiscing and thinking of dreams of home, reflects on the Godswood having no weirwood, being "as empty as me." I really hope she does find some happiness in the Vale, I think maybe with Randa and Mya she could enjoy some teenage girl time. When she remembers a snow ball fight she had with Arya I think the image of Sansa being a priss is challenged, she remembers play fighting and Jory having to pull them apart.

The next scene I find really moving. She begins to build a model Winterfell and is so focussed on it she seems oblivious to people looking at her strangely. Could this be a point when some of the household might realise who she is, Alayne Stone wouldn't know what Winterfell looked like, but then it seems unlikely that anyone else in the household would either.

She is so focussed on building Winterfell, she doesn't realise LF is there until he speaks. He helps her with her snow castle, is this foreshadowing that he will help her return there? He talks about Cat and how he dreamed of Winterfell as a dark and cold place. I can't work out if LF genuinely believes that his heartbroken lady love was taken from him to the grim north or if he is just a creepy pervert, grooming a vulnerable young girl.

Sansa throws some snow at LF and challenges him on not taking her home, realising that when she thinks of Winterfell, she is braver. LF takes this as an opportunity to kiss her.
I think this is abusive behaviour. When she is feeling brave enough to question him, he uses a sexual act to subdue her. I love LF as a character but his behaviour towards Sansa just revolts me. She describes squirming against him and him holding her tighter and how Luthor Brune couldn't save her now. For me this incident is sexual assault, I just can't see how people can deny LF is a sexual predator, I really hope Sandor fucking guts him!

I find it hard to believe that someone as clever as LF would think he can kiss a girl in front of his wife's balcony and not get caught. Is he that much of a gambling man?

It is Roberts appearance that actually stops LF's advances. Maybe this is an overlooked
part of the "castle in the snow" prophesy? After breaking his doll Sansa retreats inside and wonders if being banished by Lysa to the gates if the moon would be a bad thing, having heard about how "frolicsome" Randa is. I was surprised when I re read this chapter that she talks about Mya being one of Roberts baseborn daughters. Does Mya know she is?
Sansa musters her courage to say that she will refuse to marry Robert and is beginning to see her worth now, saying she is "not a beggar, not matter what her aunt said."

Marillion arrives to summon her to the great hall and she instantly begins to feel
uncomfortable and when she arrives in the hall she is surprised to be accused not of upsetting Robert, but kissing Petyr. Good on her she tells the truth, despite Lysa's threats and insults about her mother. Sansa wonders if Lysa is mad or drunk, then she smells wine on Lysa's breath so I suppose she if both. Then Lysa's story comes tumbling out, her affair with Petyr and her abortion.

Sansa, quite rightly, begins to get afraid and changes her story saying she won't kiss or entice Petyr again because edge thinks that's what her aunt wants to hear. Lysa just seems to get madder and orders Marillion to sing "the false and the fair." Lysa drags Sansa towards the moon door and orders Sansa to open it. They struggle and Petyr enters the hall, saying "what's the meaning if this?" have I got this wrong or is that what Tyrion said when he entered the courtyard when the kingsguard were beating Sansa? He tries to calm Lysa, but she seems to get more upset and aggressive towards Sansa, Lysa also seems to believe that Cat was interested in Petyr.

Lysa tells more of her story including how she poisoned Jon Arryn and sent Cat the letter
accusing the Lannisters. LF never seems to panic but keeps telling her to let Sansa go. Even when he pushes her out the moon door saying "only Cat", there is no trace if panic. He then asks Sansa if she is unharmed before summoning the guards saying "this singers killed my wife."
