First recs since October, because as much as I love my job I hate how dead it leaves me feeling at the end of the day. Someday I will rejoin society.

I think this set is all Yuletide. I had a plan to rec everything I liked, and there was no way I could have named so many. However, these are some great ones.

So I'm going to blame Netflix for this. They put Vampire Diaries on streaming and it's addictive: everybody's hot and plots are interwoven and clearly planned out well in advance and with a ridiculously high death toll and steamy romance.

And I flailed so hard at the 2nd season opener that I punched myself in the face and now I have a black eye.

I stepped out into the hallway this morning and when I came back to my room eleven of my boys were singing "If I Die Young." Not the girls, just the boys. My kids are so weird. They also keep telling me things I absolutely have to put in my request basket at the book fair, and I am disappointed at how few of them I have heard of. Clearly I have ( Read more... )

This isn't something I can link to on facebook because of my job, but I think that putting aside the issue of abortion, anything that criminalizes birth control and puts women under police suspicion for something as traumatic as a miscarriage is not something that needs to be law.

So, after all the excitement yesterday with the crazy roommates, things took a dramatic turn. So I have not often spoken of the crazy roommates because sometimes talking about my annoyance only makes it grow. But suffice it to say that we differ in both religious views (in that I'm kind of vague and they have very strong opinions. And a need to share them) and ideas of cleanliness when it comes to public areas. Or at least different ( Read more... )

So there was once a time in my life where I wrote fic. Not a lot of fic, and only a small amount got posted, but it still happened.
