Boston - It's nice but it ain't New Orleans. Here are some pix from my weekend.
Boston is a very nice town to visit. I took the Acela train on the way up and I must say that I really did enjoy the ride. Much nicer than driving. The view out the window is incredible. My son remarked that all the children that were riding the train were being amused by DVD players. They never once glanced out the window at the beautiful scenery. That's a shame. I think that electronic devices are wonderful, but mother nature is very entertaining also and the batteries never wear out.
We stayed at the Wyndam in the Financial district. The room was tremendous. The one complaint I have about Boston is the way that people drive around the city. I felt like someone had stuck a sign on my back that said, "Hit the pedestrian and win a prize" Boston makes New York look like child s play. Hey, Maureen, what's with that dig thing? I thought it would be finished by now. When they finish the park they are working on give me a call. I would love to see it completed.
I took my son Jason to Boston in place of New Orleans. This is him trying to look intelligent at Harvard.
I have been to Boston before so I mostly tried to find things that I had not photographed before. These shots were all taken with my digital camera. I may post more on my website when I get my 35m film developed.
Jason is into trolleys. We had to ride all the way out to the boone docks to see this antique.
We took a day trip out to Provincetown on the ferry. The weather was perfect for the trip. Provincetown is so pretty. I saw this house with a for sale sign on it. It's very tempting, for sure.
We took a tour of the dunes. Very impressive.
Four days with Jason is enough for a while. Even though he is 30 he acts like he is 10 most of the time.
