Things that husbands are good for

I am sorry about your hubby. I never did appreciate all the things my husband does and I am sure that he feels the same way at this point in time. At least I will still be able to bitch at him when he gets home. It's a wake up call for sure. That condo thing is sounding pretty good to me at the moment.

I still have one son at home and two big dogs. I am probably not ready for the condo yet, but the idea sounds very good to me today.

LOL. I know exactly how you feel, Mimi. Whenever my husband goes away on business, which is almost every week, it always snows the second he gets out the door. Most annoying!

I loathe insects, am terrified of reptiles and not too keen on wild rodents. We used to live out in the country when we were first married. One week while Hubby was away, there was a snake in our swimming pool, a mouse in the kitchen and a nest of spiders in the basement. I was a nervous wreck by the time he got home...

My husband's away for the weekend at a scooter convention in Las Vegas - yay! In my neighborhood, guys come around and offer to shovel your walk for $15 or $20, so that's not a problem. I would totally freak out, however, if I were confronted with an insect or rodent problem in his absence!

There are NO guys shoveling outside in my neighborhood. And that fucking rodent has taken over my house. I called an exterminator and they want $450 to remove it. Fuck that! I will just refuse to do the wash until that thing is gone.

I have an idea. Why don't you put a TV and DVD player down there and play 411-414 over and over. The varmint will die of boredom in no time.

It would serve the little fucker right. But I have opted to set a trap that will snap it's head off. That's probably more humane.
