Falcons are canoodling 10 times a day, and have begun to lay their eggs. how beautiful a writing and how you captured my innermost feelings at this time.

Only a cam watcher and a watcher from the ground can understand us at this time.

We do rejoice and cry and learn and watch in awe.

This article of yours should be posted in a paper somewhere.

My season has not begun yet and already I have been thrilled, saddened and had many mixed emotions

Sue, I don't know what your background is, but if you didn't write, you missed your calling. I've read things you have written before and you know just how to phrase your thoughts.

Thanks, Nancy. I've been writing poetry and short stories for years, and the occasional reflective essay, but never tried to publish anything. I have been reading through some of my past journal entries and forum posts about the falcons, though, and think there might be a publishable collection in there, with a little tweaking.

A friend quoted a saying this evening: "there is a thin line between a hobby and mental illness". There is some truth in that, I think! I tend to think that having this wonderful passion for the falcons is part of what keeps me on this side of nuts, but there might be some who disagree, lol!
