Some things are not meant to be dealt with right away. You have your inital reaction: freak-out, cry, drink, etc. Then you you put it away for a while and train yourself to not be able to think about it. Only when you're able to make yourself freely think about other things can you then go back and sort out your hand. Until then, you're wasting
