End of Year To-Do's

What are you all up to for New Year's? Anyone else writing? Sam Winchester Big Bang starts in January and my posting date is February 19th and it's about 60% of the way there. Eeep. I can't tell you how excited I am to be working with quickreaver on this one!

Also signed up for the Gencest Big Bang and drafts and summaries are due on February 2nd. I

Ooooh I can't wait to see what you and quickreaver are working on! That's such a dream-team. :) I'm writing over New Year's, too--normally I'm more of an audiofic gal, but I got this big angsty Sam/Dean reincarnation story idea that's taking over my brain, so I'm trying to figure out how to write it into being.

The Gencest Big Bang also sounds fantastic. Is this a newer challenge? I'm a sucker for canon-level face touching, so I am *definitely* gonna check it out.

So glad that you're writing! And reincarnation? There aren't enough fics that tie into that idea. It would seem to go hand in hand with being soul mates.

I think so too! I've been watching the X-Files recently & there was a reincarnation-based episode where our heroes remembered past lives they had lived together in different relationships--parent&child, husband&wife, siblings, commanding officer&soldier--and I thought "Why haven't we seen that on SPN??" So I'm going to do a shippy version of that for Sam & Dean.

I need to come up with ideas for Gencest. As you say, it's not so daunting, being only 3K, but I feel the need to look at a list of prompts, the way I do with Summergen.

And I feel you on gencest. I've been trying to come up with an idea, but I must admit that I'm struggling without prompts. I think I have a kernel of something, but I really need to work on it!!!

Thank you! It is tough without prompts. I figured I'd stick to canon-style hurt/comfort (surprise, I know) fic ideas. Now, I have two and can't decide. Good luck with yours!
