It's been a while, but my last team was similar. Jin (anti-air) and Sakura (dash) were my two constants. The last spot was either filled by BB Hood, Cap A, Nash, or Gambit.
Tatsunoko is good shit. It's more MvC1 than MvC2 and even then is quite different, but I'm confident you'll like it. Lord knows I do.

Sonson (anti-air) - The entire reason I play MvC2 is because I have a thing for this sexy monkey. Seriously. Yes I am still very much GEL.
Tron Bonne (Throw) - I <3 Tron even if playing her means spamming that drill move to death. Why Throw? Because it does her Servebot Lunch Rush super WITHOUT needing to hit the enemy with the beam. This fucks up people more often then you'd think! "Ha! I blocked the beam now to puni-WHAT THE FUCK?! WHY AM I GETTING HIT I BLOCKED THAT!" XD
Shuma Gorath in Pink (Whatever they call the bouncey ball move) - Gotta be pink because that's what he was in Marvel Super Heroes. I normally can't play chargies too well but Shuma has spectacular reach on his normals and NO ONE knows how to fight him! He's also sassy.
