Takakura Shouma is a ball of fail. Why is he a ball of fail? Because his life sucks. Ever since he founds the weird penguin hat that revived his sister from the dead, life has taken a crazy turn for him. From stalkers to yanderes to rapists to incest to ALL OF THE ABOVE AT ONCE, his life... sucks. Yet he stays positive! That’s the thing about Shouma, he tries to stay positive for his family. His need to have a stable family -- despite it only being himself, his brother, and his sister -- keeps him going.
His constant worrying and need to Do The Right Thing keeps him on his toes at all time though. Even when he tries to smile for his family, he still is quite the worrywart. For his brother, his sister, for everyone in the world -- he worries. A lot. He is the mother figure for his family and doesn’t really mind this. It’s his number one goal: to keep the Takakura family happy. This goal drives him to do a lot of things.
Like, for instance, completely hate his parents because of why the siblings are like they are. His parents, the leaders of some sort of terrorist organization has left disgrace to the family name because of their mass bombing on the day that the sons were born. Despite him putting on a brave face most of the time, he still holds resentment for them because of it. His brother, Kanba, is the one still in contact with his parents but that is a whole other story.
The strongest traits of Shouma are his ability to put on a brave face for everyone, his ability to stay positive, and his ability to also be cautious about things at the same time. He tends to stay in the shadows, choosing not to lead and follow instead which makes it quite surprising later on when it’s revealed he knows a lot more about his family than he lets on.
Other than that though, he is the best damn housewife this side of Japan. No jokes whatsoever.

I’m assuming it’s alright for him to have his personal penguin with him to Vatheon! Since it’s just a familiar as far as I know. No one can see the penguin at all.
