-CHAPTER 30-

My Monday is finally over!  Class is boring when you’re reviewing what you did last week!  Especially if you already reviewed during the weekend, ugh.

“Hey Junsu, I’ll just go see the principal to get the tutor job and I’ll be right with you guys after okay?” I said and exited class.  When I almost reached the principal’s office, I saw Yunho.

“Sup” I said and was about to walk pass him when he stopped me by grabbing me by the arm.

He really should stop doing that.

“You know, you can say “I need to talk to you” to get my attention, you don’t need to pull me every time you know?  Frankly, it kind of pisses me off” I told him.

“Oh, ok.  I need to talk to you” he said, smiling.  Why is he smiling?  Something good must have happened to him.

“What is it?” I asked him.

He didn’t say anything and instead handed me a blue package.  What the hell, why does he always have to act so… weird?

“Is it too hard to use words to tell me?...” I asked, sighing “… and do I need to give this to Euna or something?”

He shook his head.

“Nope, this is for you” he said.

“…you’ve got to be kidding” I said with a disbelieved laugh.  Why is this guy giving me a present?

“Oh, and this is for you too” he said, handing me a card.  Well, since he’s going to be nebulous, I guess I better just read the card instead of asking him anything.

I opened the card.

Oh, it’s from Euna…and it’s an invitation… to a party…?

I looked up at Yunho who smiled cheekily.  No wonder he’s so happy.

“So you’re so happy that you’re giving me a present?” I asked.

“Well… you can put it that way…” he said hesitantly.

“…or?  How else can I put it?  Tell me” I asked.

“Well…”

“YUNHO!  SPEAK!” I said, losing my patience.  Junsu and the others were waiting for me and I’m not even at the principal’s office yet.  Yunho is wasting my time!

“It’s clothes…”

“…again?!  I thought I told you-“

“For the party” he finished.

“But you already bought me clothes!” I protested.  My wardrobe isn’t even that big to fit in so many clothing.

“Yeah, but you have no idea how to wear them and they aren’t fancy enough for the party either.  These clothes are already in a set so you’ll just have to wear them like this” he said, smiling.

“Ugh, it’s a fancy party?” I asked, imagining a bunch of people in a fancy room fake smiling at each other with their glass of wines and pinkies up.  How boring, you don’t get to do anything in those parties except talk with forced enthusiasm or soft sarcasm.  Oh, and fancy humour, the worst of its kind.

“Well, yes.  Euna comes from a very respected family with high reputation, she can’t throw any other kind of party even if she wanted” Yunho explained.

“So I guess that you can’t either?” I asked.

“Yoochun throws them for me” he said with an impishly.

“Alright fine.  Now move over, I need to see the principal” I said.

“Oh!  Did you do something bad?  Want me to talk to him for you?” he asked, a little bit concerned.  Of course he would, if I have detention, I wouldn’t be going to that party of his.

“Oh wow, you’d do that?  For me?” I said sarcastically “Tsk, I must be real useful to you, eh?  But no, I don’t need you.  I’m going to be a tutor for your information” I said matter-of-factly.

“Hey!  You make me sound like a heartless jerk.  I thought we established that we’re real friends now!” he said in a half disappointed, half whiny voice.

“Alright fine!  Just mooooove, oh my god!” I said, stomping my feet.

“Wait, wait, wait! Just one last thing!” he said, holding his two index in front of himself.

Ugh, him and his last things.  There’s always a last thing with this guy.

“Yes?” I said sharply.

He opened his mouth and seemed like he was about to say something, but then closed his mouth and looked at me for a few seconds with an expression that looks a little bit confused.  Then, I realized that he was probably thinking if he should tell me whatever he was going to tell me.

“Well?  Just say it!” I fussed.

“Mm.  Well I was about to ask you to cut your hair, but then I thought that you probably wouldn’t agree anyways so there isn’t any point in forcing you to do it.  So I guess all I can say is… do whatever you want, but try to look at your best at the party.  That’s all” he said.

Wow, this guy…

At least he’s not a completely idiot it seems.

“Are you sure that it’s all?” I asked sarcastically.

He nodded.

“Then move” I said, pushing him aside and walking to the principal’s office.

“See you at the party!” he said and I didn’t say anything back.

“A tutor?” the principal said, surprised.

“Yes”

“Really?  That’s rare…” he said, looking at me strangely.

“It is?” I said, surprised.

“Yes, it’s a very hard job” he told me.

“It is?” I said, again surprised.

“Yes, it is” he said simply.  Wow, the principal sure seems like a man of many words…

“All right, whatever.  I’ll take it” I said; it’s not like it can be that demanding compared to working anywhere else.  I handed him the approval of the math teacher and he nodded as he read it.

“Ok then Jaejoong, you start tomorrow” he told me.

“Thank you”
