-CHAPTER 17-
The four of us went to the mall because it’s apparently better if both me and Junsu looked good in the club. Especially Junsu since the person he likes will be there. As for me, I’ll just have to try my best not to embarrass Junsu.
“Sorry about earlier, Junsu” I apologized.
“What are you sorry about?” he asked me like if it wasn’t obvious.
“Well for insulting Yoochun. Cause you know… You sort of like him… and stuff and yeah…” I said thinking honestly that it’s supposed to be pretty obvious as it is.
“Oh… it’s okay… I knew he was like that…” Junsu said.
“And you still like him despite that?” Changmin suddenly said. I was surprise to hear him speak; it’s been a while since he had an opinion about anything. It was probably those exams that he had.
“Well… yes…” Junsu said, shyly and blushing.
“…why?” I asked, not understanding Junsu’s mysterious attraction towards this guy.
“Well… It’s just because… I always kind of liked soccer, but I was too shy to join the team. So when Changmin wasn’t friend with me yet, I used to go to the soccer field and watch the school team play from the bleachers. When I watched them play, nobody would really mind me, but one day, Yoochun actually came to me after practice and asked me if I wanted to play because he noticed that I’ve been coming a lot to watch and… well… I guess that did it for me…” Junsu smiled to himself as he told the story, probably recalling the good memories from the past.
“So… why did you refuse?” I asked. Junsu looked uneasy.
“Well…I-I… um… didn’t exactly refuse…” he stuttered. I didn’t bother asking again and just waited for the answer, arms crossed.
“I…I kind of ran away…” he told me. It took me and Changmin a second to register the information, then another to puff into laughter. IU seemed unhappy about this.
“Stop laughing! It’s cute!” she said, disapproving our humour. It took us a little while to calm down.
“It is funny! Don’t tell me that if that was a scene of a drama, that you wouldn’t laugh at it!” Changmin said to IU who pouted in denial.
“Oh well anyhow, lets get a moving. We only have a few hours to pick out a whole set of clothes for you two” IU said, armed with her wallet.
“Hey, I’m not letting you pay for me” I said to her.
“Oh don’t be like that Jaejoong!” IU said “I have lots of money!” she said.
“Yes, but I have principles” I replied.
“Yes, but I have more money than you have principles!” she protested.
“Yes, but I have money too, why should you buy me anything?” I told her. IU was getting fussy; it looked like she wanted to buy me stuff. Bad.
“Oh c’mon Jaejoong! It’s not a mystery to any of us! Junsu and me we’re both rich and we have too much allowance to spend on our own stuff anyways! It’s only normal that we don’t value money the same as normal people!” she fussed.
“You mean like me and Changmin?” I said with a chuckle. Changmin laughed a little too.
“Well kinda… I mean, you two also don’t value money that much, but that’s just because you have strong principles and-” she flapped her hands around “anyways! Just let me, buy you some clothes! I’ve been dyyyying to shop with somebody for a long time now!” she said and as her lower lip starts sticking out and her eyes got droopy, I sighed.
“Fine, fine! I give up!” I threw my hands up in surrender. IU jumped of glee.
“Hurrai!” she clapped her hands together excitedly “this is going to be fun!” she said and pulled me towards wherever.
I can’t believe I’m in the mall living a teenage girl’s dream come true. Ugh.

“Alright, what kind of clothing do you like?” IU asked me.
Back home, I had plenty of sisters to tell me what to wear everyday.
“Um… Anything normal I guess…” I said to her. She frowned.
“Mmm… that won’t do. Here, from these shirts, pick one that you like” she said, gesturing a rack of clothing. I looked for a few seconds and picked out a black shirt.
“Jaejoong…” IU said smiling serenely. I looked at her.
“That’s a bland black t-shirt! You can’t do better than that?!” she then screamed, surprising me.
“Well… I… like it…” I said holding the bland t-shirt closer to me.
“Yes, but to go to the club you have to wear something more… um… better!” it took her a few seconds to find the word.
“Eh, whatever, I’ll buy this one with my own money then” I said, keeping the shirt.
“Hey! How’s this?” Junsu said, showing us a striped pink and black cardigan. Hot pink.
“Ooo, I like it” IU commented and then turned back to me.
“See Jaejoong? You have to pick things like Junsu! At least pick something that’s not uni-colored!” she lectured.
“Why don’t you just pick out something for me then?” I said, tired already. Shopping for clothing was one thing I really didn’t like to do.
“Alright fine. I’ll go buy some things for you and you buy some of your own too. Meet here in an hour okay?” she said and I nodded.
Ugh, finally. Now I’ll just pick out something fast and go eat ice cream.

It’s an hour later so I went back to the rally point. I waited.
“Jaejoong!” a voice from behind me called. I turned back only to be shocked to see IU holding a great multitude of bags in her hands, attempting to wave at me.
“Woah… what are-”
“Clothes! Oh and I bought some perfume too!” she said excitedly. I cringed.
“Perfume…?” I said disbelievingly.
Suddenly, Junsu and Changmin also came back with a few bags in their hands. Changmin had a bag of food and video games though.
“Anyhow, what did you pick out Jaejoong?” IU asked me, dropping her bags and taking the one I was holding. As she took out the clothing that I picked one by one, her expression became gradually dimmer and dimmer.
“Jaejoong!” she fussed “Why are all these clothes black?!” she asked, clearly unhappy.
“Um… well I thought that they look pretty good” I explained “and not only that, but they’re also practical. This cargo pant for example; I could carry a lot of things in these pockets! And this hooded jacket looks very sturdy and I think I can even wear it in winter!” I said, happy about the choices I made.
This time, not only IU, but Junsu and even Changmin had disapproving expressions.
“Jaejoong! You’re buying clothes to go to a club! Not to be a ninja or a street gang member!” she complained.
“Yeah hyung… if you wear that, you’ll really look like a ninja assassin” Changmin said and took out the ninja video game that he bought and showed me the cover for me to compare.
“That’s perfect!” I said happily. These clothes are nice to wear if I ever had to get into a fight with somebody which, in this school should happen quite often.
The three of them sighed.

“Alright, before we go to your house, we should cut your hair” IU said and I immediately said no.
“But Jaejoong, having such long hair doesn’t…compliment your face!” IU said.
“I don’t care. I want to keep it this way” I said strictly.
“But hyung, you’d be really good looking with your hair cut!” Junsu said.
“Well even if that’s the case, I don’t want it cut. I don’t want people to like me just for my outer appearance. Can you imagine the chaos that it would cause in my already chaotic life?” I asked and they didn’t say anything after that.
A/N: Sorry! I fail at fashion too so if there are some clothing that I described that are actually ugly, just imagine it to be good looking okay? I fail at matching clothing >->.
