What: It's Carnevale time in Italy. Ezio decides to share the celebration with a friend and invites Altaïr to come visit him for once.
Warnings: None that I can think of.
Carnevale. A time of great celebration all throughout Italy. It was one of Ezio's favorite times and even now the days didn't fail to lift his spirits despite all that had happened recently.
He wasn't the only one who needed the lift in spirit. That in mind he'd invited a special guest to come and drop by.
"Come visit me sometime soon, if you find the time and urge. I think it might do you some good."
Or at least, the young Auditore certainly hoped it would do Altaïr some good. He'd been worried about his elder ever since the incident with the Rafik. Sure, he'd started acting normal enough after it but... so had he after his father's death, the whole 'suddenly becoming an assassin' part aside. It could be his honest feelings or it could simply be a coping tactic. The latter seemed more likely, considering Altaïr had a tendency to hide his true feelings in the first place. Maybe Carnevale could help him as well.
Ezio wandered about the empty workshop, making sure Leonardo's thing were in order. He'd managed to convince the inventor to take the night off and enjoy Carnevale as well on the condition that the workshop would still be in good condition when he returned. And a promise made to a friend wasn't one Ezio wasn't going to break lightly.
Inspection done the assassin nodded to himself and climbed out through one of the windows and out onto the roof. He let the chill night breeze wash over him and breathed it in deep, listening to the music and joyous voices floating to him on the breeze. He couldn't keep a smile off his face as he sat down, watching the partygoers from his high rooftop perch. A night to let go of his darker duties. Ezio was so dedicated to the idea that he'd even shed his assassin's robes for the first time in a long while, dressed in a more casual outfit, hair tied back once more. He could almost forget anything had happened at all.
