as cliche as it sounds, I think the statement "live life to the fullest" has held more "meaning" than ever before. This covers the gamut of positive outcomes, negative ones, uncertainties, triumphs, pettiness, sincerity, pretention, honesty, etc....in short personality, which we're all guilty of....to me, it's really all about "Being" and enjoying oneSelf in the process. So what, if we experience failures some of the time. It's necessary, and nobody ever said we couldn't try to smile along the way.

Your entry strikes me as one feeling the Isolation, a feeling I can certainly understand from my personal perspective. It seems to come in waves, depending on the depth of interest in the immediate at the time. There are times when I take no notiice of it whatsoever, events in my environment being paramount. There are other times when I step back from even my own investment and I have a similar sense to what you describe ( ... )
