I've had six piercings in my ears over the years and they all healed fairly nicely. I assume you're getting this one in the lobe? My lobes healed very well; it was the cartilage that gave me a bit of trouble. Anyway, good luck, and if it gets infected I know some tips. Presumably others around you do too. And sorry about the sparkly stud -- I'm with you on the superiority of dangles!
