Shopping, Preperations, and lists

Yesterday Alison, Anne and Nicki were generous enough to accompany me shopping. I hate shopping. We ended up spending most of the trip in JCPenny's. I was looking for replacement for two pairs of jeans, one pair of causal work pants, and shoes. I need new sneakers and new nice shoes / heels - either that or inserts to help with arch support. Wow, you've had a busy day! I'm so excited for you about the interview.

My feet used to hurt all the time and one day I had the brilliant idea that it may be my shoes. I broke down and bought a pair of $60 sneakers and have been happy every since. (Reebox DMX Walkers, in case you're interested.) They last forever and are nice and comfy. I usually get them at Dilliard's.

I also have a hard time finding nice shoes and I don't dress up that often. I would lend you my shoes, but my feet are bigger than yours. :)

Best of luck on the interview!

If you're having knee problems, then I would definitely NOT recommend getting anything from Payless. Since I also have knee problems thanks to my arthritis my husband and I recently went to a higher end shoe store that we heard specializes in orthopedic footwear. Our extremely helpful sales assistant told us that the secret is all in the insole, and pointed us one designed specifically for arthritis suffers. They can be worn with most of my shoes (although not sandals or my fancier shoes) as long as you rip out the old insole. The other shoes sold at this store have insoles made particularly so you can take out the insoles and insert your special ones, so I'm working on weeding out my shoe collection so eventually I'll only have shoes that I can wear these insoles with.

Yep. Buy a better shoe (or at least better insoles). It's definitely worth the money.
