in the letter, there was a paragraph about two things -

a "student planner" that we all have to carry now

and the fact that everyone now has to wear an ID badge everywhere around school. that's what the controversy is based on.

read the letter, it'll explain it.

I don't really feel like wearing a freaking lanyard with an ID on it every day this year. I guess it makes sense for security reasons but its getting very close to wearing uniforms and thats a very touchy subject for people. I like the idea of the student planer thing (it's just going to be like the passport system but more developed) but I really don't like the visible ID thing they are going for. Carrying ones school ID in their wallet should have been good enough. This is kinda overboard.

Yeah, the planner actually sounds useful.

And what will they do if you do wear the ID?

"You're not allowed in the school" which translates to free day, so it's all good in my opinion :).
