I saw the StepMania build and I was thoroughly, thoroughly impressed by all the work that Dan, Tony, and Mark have devoted to this project. It kinda makes me wish I was around to help out, being a CS major and all, but I've had papers and programs to write just about every day this semester.
The model number they made up for the machine is something like "AG-573-867-5309-1337-9001." I cracked up. Best model number ever. The demo video is great, too.
Sean's graciousness in allowing the trio to install their StepMania build on his machine is a move I think will ultimately work out to the benefit of both himself and the store.
They've all done a great job with everything so far, and the past two days have been crazy trying to get the new monitor (so pretty) properly working and installed, tweak the output settings, getting the pads and buttons to work right, get everything set up and working properly. Blood, sweat, tears, money, and time have been devoted, and it's all going to be very much worth it.
i played it and let me tell you, it was the bee's knees! that's right. i said it. the thing that bugged me the most was that there were a bunch of people who insisted on playing songs from extreme! i got up there and proudly played shooting star and a bunch of dan's songs.
highlight of the evening for me: everyone singing along with us while we played dan's steps to dragonstea din tea after i screamed "everybody sing!" ... brilliant.
everyone did a really good job on that machine. i'm sorry i crashed it on the extra stage, btw ^_^
