Summary Silly fluff about Juan and David's relationship.
AN This is practically co-written by eileenyx and is for her. This is pretty much our back and forth head-canon conversation about them.

It starts on a cold fall day in London when Juan wants to see the city, but no one really wants to go out with him. He understands he's one of the new guys and that being a tourist in a city they live in isn't really cool, but he still wants to poke around and do the tourist things while discovering all the parts of London. He's already bored Oriol with museum after museum so when David offers to go with him, and even though in the back of his mind Juan tells himself it probably isn't the best idea, he happily agrees.

For his explorations he's bought a new camera and spends half of the time idly clicking away at anything that catches his fancy. David wanders off from time to time and always seems to have an amused expression on his face. Juan wants to ask him what he's laughing about but neither speak English well and David's Spanish isn't good enough for prolonged conversations. They get along well, and one or two words with some gestures suffices instead of sentences.

David disappears in the crowd at Trafalgar Square as Juan begins to snap away. After a few minutes, Juan looks up and sees the telltale curls bouncing a little bit further down from him. He watches as a group of children line up to take a picture and David times his movements perfectly to walk by and make a funny face in the background as their camera is clicked. Juan is laughing so hard that people around him give him concerned looks and step away. David continues to photobomb families, couples, and school groups and is somehow never caught doing it.

Juan takes a photo of David snickering to himself. At the end of the day when he is looking through all of his pictures on his computer, he finds himself staring at that photo more than the others. The glee on David's face is the perfect capture; it's the best portrait Juan's ever taken. Juan bites his lip when he realizes he's staring at it more than he should be.

"Boring," David tells him when Juan drags him to the National Gallery.

"Beautiful," Juan counters as he points to Snow at Argenteuil.

David shakes his head, curls bouncing and silly grin on his face as he points to himself and says, "Beautiful." He points to the painting and says, "Boring."

Juan shakes his head. He's glad that this late in the afternoon this wing of the National Gallery is nearly empty and no one has to listen to David complain about art. Or have their photos ruined by him. Juan attempted to have a passerbyer take a few photos of him and David for Twitter, but David seems to be unable to take a picture without sticking his tongue out or crossing his eyes.

"Silly," Juan says pointing to David and pointing to the painting says, "Perfect."

David looks around to make sure they're alone before grinning down at Juan. He darts down and presses a quick kiss against Juan's lips. David tastes like cherry chapstick and green gummy bears.

"Silly beautiful," David says as he steps back and points to himself. "Boring beautiful." He says with a laugh as flicks the tip of Juan's nose.

Juan drags him to the bathroom and teaches him all the antonyms for boring he can think of.

David likes to make Juan laugh all of the time, even when still asleep. Juan can't remember waking up before David. He's coaxed awake by lips on his stomach that alternate between planting kisses and blowing raspberries. The raspberries tickle him though and he can't pretend to be asleep any longer. He opens one eye and David's there, petting his face and wiggling his eyebrows suggestively at him. Juan rolls his eyes and pushes David off of him, burying his grinning face back in his pillow. David snatches the pillow away and pulls Juan out of bed, stringing him along with kisses and caresses.

Clad only in their pajama bottoms, the bare skin of their hips bump and rest against each other as they lean against the counter. David makes himself coffee, sent to him from Brazil from his family because he can't stand the English imitation, and makes a hot chocolate for Juan. He always puts marshmallows on top; Juan pulls at one of David's curls as his way of saying thank you.

Their English is good enough to vaguely understand children's television shows, and they spend most of their morning watching cartoons, stealing glances at each other over the top of their cups and trying not to giggle.

David always falls asleep with his head in Juan's lap and their fingers laced together. Even when he's asleep he has that smile on his face; it makes Juan smile too, and he realizes how ridiculously enamoured he is.

Juan has to keep an eye on David when they go in public because he was caught photo bombing engagement pictures the last time they were out. The lady caused such a scene that Juan thought he would be permanently red. David giggled the entire time. Juan would deck him one if he didn't find him so endearing.

They've been to the Tate twice, but have still yet to finish all the collections. There is a new traveling exhibition that Juan wants to see and after a drawn out blowjob or two, David agrees to go with him. He's unusually subdued- he doesn't wander away or even leave Juan's side. It isn't until he sees a little boy giggling at him that he notices David is mocking him. Every time Juan pauses to study a new piece and nods or turns his head, David exaggerates the motion behind him. He didn't realize he stared so intently at paintings until he sees David making fun of him for doing so.

Juan shakes his head at one painting and spins around quickly to catch David in the act of mimicking him. David just grins wildly and Juan jabs a finger into David's chest; David doesn't bother looking bashful or sorry at being caught. He takes Juan by the hand and drags him into the bathroom.

At this rate they'll never finish exploring the Tate.

David is a good dancer, but he's not a very good singer. Juan is obsessed with the Beatles and while David doesn't mind them, they're not his favorite. He likes to make up words to sing along with them when he doesn't know what they are saying. Juan loves the look on David's face when he's having fun and doesn't make him stop.

Juan loves that David knows every word to 'I want to Hold Your Hand' and when it comes on, he always holds Juan's hand in his.

During international breaks, Juan spends an ungodly amount of time on Youtube watching Benfica interviews. He would never admit to David that he has bookmarked them or has even watched them once. When he can't sleep, he listens to David's voice over and over until he feels like he's at home and falls asleep thinking of wild smiles and bouncing curls.

Javi and a few of the others are watching Simpsons reruns on the TV after practice one day and as he passes them, he sees it's an episode with Sideshow Bob. He makes an excuse and runs back to his room as fast as he can. He doesn't want to have to explain to anyone why Sideshow Bob makes his body react the way it does.

"Charming." David tells him one day when they're at a cafe and Juan is looking at the screen on his camera, flipping through the pictures he's taken so far that day. "I learn a new word. Charming."

"Who taught you?"

"Fernando. I said I wanted a word about someone I love very much. Someone who is smart, beautiful, and perfect."

"Oh?" Juan bites his lip to prevent himself from smiling like an idiot.

"Yes." David's head bobs up and down as he nods. "You are charming. The most charming."

Juan laughs. "You are charming too."

David's favorite activity, besides mocking Juan and photobombing tourists, is seeing how many kisses he can steal when they're in public. Juan suspects it's why he doesn't mind being dragged back to the Tate whenever they have a free morning or afternoon. Their record is seventeen.

They end up in the same stall of the same bathroom every time, a secluded one toward the back that most people don't notice. They're alone this time and Juan's glad because his knees hurt and he's got a red mark on his face from where he hit the toilet paper dispenser.

David leans forward and breathes on to the mirror. In the fog it creates he draws a heart. Their eyes connect in the mirror and David points to the heart and then to Juan. Juan has to bite back a smile and he nudges David with his shoulder. He mimes sticking a finger down his throat and gagging; David scrunches up his nose and sticks his tongue out at him.

Turning, Juan lifts himself on his toes and presses his lips against David's. David smiles against Juan's lips and whispers "Eighteen" with a giggle. Juan didn't know kisses could taste like laughter until he met David.

At the end of the season, after the parades and parties and hazy days of champagne and celebrating are over and before they have to report to their national camps, they disappear somewhere together. David insists on choosing where they go and Juan is apprehensive about letting David choose because... because David is David and he has a feeling that they'll end up in Amsterdam. Not that he minds Amsterdam, but he'd like a little rest before the Euros.

He is pleasantly surprised, shocked really, when he learns David has rented a small boat for them to pilot down a canal in the French countryside for a few days. The canal is slow, the boat easy to drive, and they spend their days on the sun deck watching the scenery float by. When David asks hesitantly on the last night if Juan has enjoyed their little vacation, Juan is nothing but smiles and asks David why he picked this. David mumbles in broken words it's because he noticed Juan's fascination with paintings of the French countryside from their museum visits and he wanted Juan to see them in real life. Juan's not sure he's ever smiled so hard.

Before they part ways David asks Juan if he can take a picture of the two of them together for David to have. Juan grins up at him and sets his camera up on a ledge and puts the timer on. David has a normal grin on his face, no tongue out or crossed eyes; he wants a real picture.

Juan waits until just before the picture is taken to stick his tongue out and make a funny face. When David sees the picture, he sets the camera down and tackles Juan to the ground, pressing a kiss into Juan's laughing lips and preening that he taught him well.

They never get around to taking a serious picture and David settles for one where Juan is staring at him with exasperation on his face as David stands in a twisted pose and it looks like he's screaming at the sun.

Boring, silly, beautiful. Perfect.
